Chiltern Fire offers UKAS accredited reaction to fire testing of a range of products to European standards:

Including paints, coatings, panel products, ceilings and insulation.

 

Reaction to fire is concerned with the flammability and ignitability of products ie how they will contribute to fire growth. Reaction to fire applies to a wide range of products (not just those with fire retardant properties).

Approved Document Part B defines the reaction to fire performance required for building products based on end-use application. Classifications are based on testing. European test standards have been published and incorporated into the Approved Document.

Chiltern Fire offers testing to European Standards which may be required for CE marking / Construction Products Directive compliance for products with harmonised standards.

Chiltern Fire can devise bespoke test programmes to meet the needs of particular projects or products and to support research and development.
