BM TRADA Certification has developed the Q-Mark scheme covering the survey and installation of window and doorsets to demonstrate an appropriate standard of installation and to provide you with a strong competitive advantage in the marketplace.
The scheme has been designed to ensure that windows and doorset assemblies that are specified (during survey) are fitted to a strict code of practice or formalised work instructions and comply with the relevant statutory regulations and manufacturer recommendations.
The BM TRADA Q-Mark Windows and Doors Installer’s Scheme verifies that:
- Installations are performed in line with defined procedures
- Products are installed at the correct position in the reveal
- Damp Proof Membranes are inspected and maintained / replaced where required
- Appropriate fixings and packing is used in sufficient quantity and spacing
- Appropriate sealants and insulation is used
- Making good is performed as per the agreed contract
- Final inspection is carried out and the installation signed off by the installer
- Any rectification work is completed as per the contract
- Appropriate care is taken of the customer’s premises
