Leading German doorset and laminates manufacturer Westag & Getalit has achieved BM TRADA Q-mark certification under the fire door manufacturers’ scheme. The €225 million turnover company based in Rheda-Wiedenbruck manufactures 3,500 doors and 3,000 frames a day for the international market.
UK Area Manager Paul Taylor said, ‘Westag & Getalit AG decided to target Q-Mark certification in response to customer demand. ‘This certification enhances our product’s reputation among buyers and gives them further reassurance that fire doorsets supplied by Westag & Getalit AG are manufactured to a consistent high standard.’
The BM TRADA Q-Mark covers the complete range of fire doorsets, including foil, CPL, HPL, wood veneer and lacquer finishes, under the DekoRit®, PortaLit®, GetaLit®, WestaLife® and WestaLack® brands. All Westag & Getalit AG fire doors are manufactured with a Halspan core, under a BM TRADA sister company Chiltern International Fire Global Assessment.
