The Department of Communities and Local Government (CLG) has authorised BM TRADA Certification Ltd to extend its Competent Persons Scheme (CPS) to include the installation of replacement windows and doors in non-dwellings.
The scheme has already generated keen interest from companies who carry out installation of replacement windows and doors in dwellings. Product Certification Manager Simon Beer said, ‘BM TRADA already offer established Q-Mark certification schemes for window and door manufacturers and installers, as well as providing window energy ratings. The Competent Persons Scheme complements the suite of services that we offer, with the authorisation allowing us to extend our comprehensive service to include non-dwellings.
