Chiltern Dynamics, part of the BM TRADA Group, has made a substantial investment in a purpose-built acoustic testing laboratory, equipped with the latest, top of the range sound measurement technology, to test construction products to BS EN ISO 10140.
It now offers UKAS-accredited acoustic testing for construction products seeking to demonstrate sound insulation performance up to 65dB, including:
- Doorsets (timber, composite, steel and PVCu)
- Windows (timber, composite, steel and PVCu)
- Glazing systems
- Door seals
- Penetration and linear joint seals.
The new laboratory, said Operations Manager Tom Gregory, completes the comprehensive suite of testing and related services available from Chiltern Dynamics and Chiltern International Fire - all at the same location. ‘In addition to sound insulation testing, we offer fire resistance, security, weather tightness, thermal performance, reaction to fire and durability testing. Clients may now take a fully coordinated approach to testing which will be easier, faster and more cost efficient for them.’
