Thermographic Survey

We offer a range of thermographic inspection services using infrared cameras to measure thermal energy emitted from a building in accordance with BRE IP1/06 as outlined in Part L.  Inspections may be carried out on a regular or one-off basis.

  • Predictive maintenance – regular, non-destructive thermographic surveys used to identify potential problems before they happen.
  • Fire hazard investigation – Insurance industry loss statistics indicate that more than 30% of all fire losses are electrical in origin, resulting in electrical failures being the single most likely cause for industrial insurance claims.
  • Thermal investigation – Infrared thermography is the recommended method for quantifying Continuation of Insulation as a requirement of Part L.

Thermography can also be used to identify possible air infiltration paths and areas of poor insulation that need to be addressed to meet Part L air leakage requirements for new buildings or to reduce heating costs for existing buildings.
