Chiltern Dynamics has set dates for its 2008 air tightness training programme.
Demand for the one-day ‘Air Tightness Testing Explained’ course – which can also be delivered on site or in house - has gone up since testing became mandatory under Part L requirements for dwellings and large commercial buildings in April last year. The new Code for Sustainable Homes requirements are a further incentive to understand the process.
The course is aimed at building contractors, quantity surveyors, building control and approved inspectors. It takes place at the company’s High Wycombe headquarters in 2008, on 11th March, 5th June, 18th September and 13th November. The programme covers:
Revisions to Part L
Testing requirements for buildings
Testing procedure and process
Good practice
Common failure points
Cost is £125 + VAT for TRADA members and £145 + VAT for non-members. Group discounts are offered and a 25% discount will be given on all bookings taken at the company’s stand at Interbuild (28th October to 1st November). For more information telephone 01494 569800 or email .
