| Air tightness testing: demand for training |
|
Chiltern Dynamics’ Energy Services Department has enjoyed strong demand for its ‘Air Tightness Testing Explained’ training days, with only limited places left on its September and November events. According to energy department head Tom Gregory, ‘Clients have been concerned about air tightness testing, which became mandatory in April last year, under Part L requirements for dwellings and large commercial buildings. Aimed at building contractors, quantity surveyors, building control and approved inspectors, the day’s programme will cover:
The cost is £100 + VAT for TRADA members and £125 + VAT for non-members. Group discounts are offered. For further details or to check availability, please contact our training department on 01494 569620 or email . The company can also take the training course out onto site, to demonstrate to builders and developers how straightforward it can be to pass the test. ‘By taking the training course out to them and running a benchmark test on site, we have enabled clients to "feel" the difference between a pass and fail,’ Mr Gregory added.
