JCK adds a touch of colour to security testing |
|

Leicester-based door manufacturer JCK Joinery brightened up the test laboratories of Chiltern Dynamics when it successfully submitted its Styro doorset for security testing to PAS 24. This extends the company’s already extensive scope under the security standard.
JCK Joinery has BM TRADA Q-Mark certified since 2003, under the Secured by Design police initiative, had also just been awarded Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) chain of custody certification with BM TRADA. JCK Director Anthony Kellett said, ‘We wanted to mark this milestone with something a little special, so we enlisted the help of local designer and artist Jenni Robson. She rose to the challenge and we created something quite unique.’ The artwork was engraved onto the face of the door and painted in watercolours and then sealed. Mr Kellett added, ‘The door caused quite a stir at Chiltern Dynamics and it did pass the tests with flying colours, despite it being Friday 13th!’ |
