Chiltern Dynamics’ Energy Services Department has enjoyed strong demand for its ‘Air Tightness Testing Explained’ training days, with only limited places left on its September and November events.

A common thread linking companies who have achieved top BFRC window energy ratings is research & development, according to Certified Simulator Mike Chorlton, of Chiltern Dynamics. ‘The companies that have achieved A and B ratings have done so by developing their products with a view to achieving energy efficiency. Simulation is the perfect tool for development, as it can be used prove the thermal performance of products before any capital investment is made for production and tooling.’

Chiltern International Fire is building up such a strong customer base in Ireland that it has decided to exhibit at Building 07, the country’s premier construction event.

Chiltern International Fire celebrated last week the 100^th burn in its 40ft attack unit, designed for Compartment Fire Behaviour Training, with the Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service (BFRS). The CFBT demo unit, used for initial training on gas cooling techniques, also celebrated its 100^th burn on the same day.

Chiltern Dynamics has been accepted as a member of The Air Tightness Testing and Measurement Association (ATTMA), further reinforcing its high standards of professionalism as an accredited air tightness testing body.

Following the successful launch of their popular Timber Fire Doors Explained training events in Ireland last year, Chiltern International Fire and sister company BM TRADA Certification have set dates for further one-day events in Northern Ireland and Eire in 2007.
