Chiltern Dynamics has become the first test laboratory in the UK to achieve UKAS accreditation for security testing sliding doorsets to the principles of PAS 24. The company’s equipment and test procedures passed a rigorous UKAS assessment with flying colours and the assessor recommended that sliding doors be added to Chiltern Dynamics’ scope with immediate effect. |

Chiltern International Fire (CIF) was again in the television spotlight, testing a reproduction smoke machine for Wild Dream Films, who are making a series called ‘Ancient Discoveries’ for the History Channel. The TV company commissioned Chiltern Fire to find out how effective this 2000-year-old device would prove in battle. |

Chiltern Dynamics has produced a further free technical information sheet to assist designers, builders and developers to pass the air tightness test, now compulsory under Approved Document L – Conservation of Fuel & Power of the England & Wales Building Regulations. The regulations apply to most new buildings, including large extensions to existing non-dwellings. |

And Jeremy Williams, Station Manager for the Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service, became a star for the day discussing the dangers a faulty fuse box can hold. |
