Chiltern International Fire and Chiltern Dynamics, as part of the BM TRADA Group, have more than 75 years' experience in providing practical solutions, testing and consultancy to the construction, retail, transport and maritime industries.

In that time, we have become renowned for our specialist expertise in doors, windows and fire-rated products.

Chiltern International Fire

Chiltern International Fire was formerly the fire testing division of TRADA (the Timber Research and Development Association) but was separated to better cater for a wider range of products and offer a greater number of fire-related services including fire consultancy, testing and research:


In 2008, Chiltern International Fire invested £500,000 in its fire resistance laboratory in High Wycombe, including the commissioning of a new 3 x 3m vertical fire resistance test furnace.

The 1.1m3 and 3m x 2m horizontal furnaces were also refurbished; both now incorporate a highly sophisticated data logging and control system.

BM TRADA Q-Mark

Chiltern International Fire provides Q-Mark product certification through our UKAS-accredited sister company, BM TRADA Certification.

Q-Mark is a set of certification schemes for doors, windows, glass and other construction productions and the installation of such products.
